Ada Palmer is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Chicago, specializing in Renaissance intellectual history and the history of ideas. She is a science fiction novelist and has received the 2017 Hugo Award for her novel "Too Like the Lightning." She is also the author of "Reading Lucretius in the Renaissance."
