Biography

Alan Taylor is the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation Professor of History at the University of Virginia, specializing in early American history and the American Revolution. He has received two Pulitzer Prizes for his work on colonial history. His notable books include "William Cooper's Town" and "The Internal Enemy: Slavery and War in Virginia."
